The Pearl's History
A transformation from rotting and collapsing to thriving and stronger than ever.
The idea of offering an airbnb in Brandon first came to us when we were attending shows at the Brandon amphitheater and realized there were no hotels or airbnbs to stay in around Old Brandon. We had seen an old, dilapidated house on Pearl street in Old Brandon and we thought, if anyone could turn that house around and make it a truly special place, it's us. We didn't care if everyone else thought it might be a bad idea to try and transform this old neglected house into a safe place for many families to safely enjoy. So we buckled up and began the transformation of The Pearl.
When we first laid eyes on the house we were immediately infatuated with the idea that we could turn this home into something special that could be enjoyed for years to come. Everything felt so natural and right, we walked out on the decaying front porch of what was soon to be a flourishing home and saw the streets sign right out in front of the house and it read, 'Pearl Street'. Immediately we knew what we were going to call this place, The Pearl.
When we were first designing the house we wanted to somehow incorporate our kids to the home to add that much more meaning to the home. We have three kids and were planning to build three different bedrooms so we decided we would design and name each of the three different rooms after each of our children. The rooms are named The Rose, The Laurence, and The Steven. The Rose as you could probably guess has a more feminine touch to the room, we went for a more manly feel for The Laurence, and kept The Steven neutral.
The Pearl is the perfect spot for any family whether you plan on attending a wedding, a concert at the Brandon Amphitheater, travel ball, a staycation, or a mom and dad getaway. The Pearl is equipped with 3 bedrooms all with their own personal bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, a coffee bar, a liquor bar, a wet bar with an ice maker, a lovely hangout space in the backyard, and many, many more nice surprises that will make your stay at The Pearl unforgettable.
The great thing about The Pearl is that it's walking distance from the heart of Downtown Brandon! We highly encourage you to check out enjoy Downtown Brandon for all that it has to offer including the bars, restaurants, shopping, the wedding venue, and much more. Even if you don't have anything planned for your stay and you don't want to be out as much, our backyard hangout area will provide you with all the comfort and good vibes you could ever need, we have a huge gas fire pit with a wrap-around bench for all of your friends and family to gather around, or just the space if you plan on hanging out and walking around. The Brandon Amphitheater is also very close so if you do happen to go to a concert, no worries about having to drive home, you can call a short uber so drinking and driving will never be an issue.
